Lodge Hill Loop (~800m)
Your walk will start by going up Lodge Hill along a trail surrounded by a stunning display of bluebells. Following the path to the right towards the mature Ash grove you will go past the old Marl pit that would have been dug centuries ago for soil conditioning. On the way down the hill you will walk through some of the coppiced Hazel woodland. Turn right at the spectacular Hornbeam to return along the beautiful Bluebell Avenue.
Bluebell Avenue (~600m)
A lovely flat walk meandering through the ancient woodland with carpets of bluebells on either side. Enjoy the leafy setting of hazel, oak and hawthorn while taking in the swathes of bluebells.
River walk (~1,100m)
This walk has it all – Start by following the track down the hill to a style that enters Lodge Hill. You will go through a short section of bluebells before leaving the woods to cross the fields and join the stream side path. Once you are stream side you will cross a couple of footbridges and walk next to a meandering stream in mature woodland. The track travels parallel to the old walled garden before exiting the woods to head back up the hill providing stunning views of the countryside and lake.
Fox Holes Loop (~800m)
Heading to the highest point of the Yoxall Lodge Fox Holes is a mix of silver birch, oak and holly. The highlight of the walk is the blessing circle, a natural glade in the woods that overlooks the rolling hills of Staffordshire providing truly breathtaking views.
